The Project stams from the idea of reinterperting Statues with changing their gender to make them more modern. Art often portrays beauty and strength.
Yet, when women were depicted, they were often shown in a submissive manner-something that can frequently be interpreted as misogynistic. The following project, Living Statues, aims to modernize famous sculptures by changing the gender of these statues.
In doing so, our perception of strength shifts, prompting us to reflect more deeply on what we see.
